Drum recording – Rainy Day (Dave Weckl)
Here’s a recording I did back in 2009 while recording a drumset.
Watch in HD for decent sound quality!
I don’t consider myself a “real” drummer, more of just “play when I have the chance” – especially as I don’t have a kit, but since I was recording my friend’s drumset already, I decided to give the song a go, and to keep it relatively simple. Extra points for spotting the mistakes!
(really, there are much better performances than my version!)
Kick – Sennheiser MD421II (in), DIY Subkick (out)
Snare – Shure SM57
Tom1 – Shure SM57
Tom2&3 – Sennheiser MD421II
Tom4 – TS MyMic
HiHat – Rode NT2A
Overheads – 2x AKG C451B
Preamps & Interface – E-MU 1616M & Steinberg MR816x
Greetings!
Greetings to all!
I decided to make a move to WordPress just to make things easier to manage. For now, I’m keeping it simple, but I may add on more things later on. Let me know if you have any suggestions!
You can find links to albums on the right as well as on the main navigation bar.
Hope you enjoy your stay, and God Bless!
